KINDRED SPIRITS

Kindred spirits are something that we don't hear about very often in a lot of the main line circles of the church. But, it is something that we must take note of. For, kindred spirits are important to us in our growth and maturity in Christ.

Who you knit your spirit with is vastly important. If we knit our spirits with the wrong people, we will find ourselves receiving things into our spirits that do not belong. If you knit your spirit with someone who is fleshly, you will find yourself tending to lean towards fleshly things just because of your association with that person. Now, many in the church do not believe what I am telling you now. But my friend, you had be careful who you knit your spirit with!

But, on the other hand, when we knit our spirit together with a kindred spirit something happens. When we knit ourselves together with someone of like passions, of like pursuits, there is a fire that kindles within! There is a burning of the Holy Spirit that jumps within. A burning that causes us to grow, a burning that causes us to mature, a burning that brings a change in us. The importance of knitting together with kindred spirits cannot be emphasized enough. Be MUST find kindred spirits to ours, and stay away from spirits that are contrary to where the Lord is taking us.

For, if we do not lock in to kindred spirits who are going where we are going, and pursuing what we are pursuing, very soon our pursuit will take us on roads that we should not be traveling on. It will detour us off of the paths that God has destined us to be upon. That is why my friend, why you must find you a church that is on fire with the things of the Holy Spirit. That's why you must not hang around the religious dead any longer, but rather hang around those who are full of the fire of the Holy Ghost!

So, in closing this brief Power Word for this week, let me just say to you this final thought. If you are a loner, and have no one else to feed your soul and input into you, you will be weaker rather than stronger. And, if you knit yourself with someone who is not where you are spiritually, the same will happen also. But, when you knit yourself with someone of a kindred spirit, you will find that spiritual growth will be a reality because of you challenging one another to grow into the full maturity and stature of Christ.

If you don't have someone to cover you, pray that God will send someone your way today. If you don't have a kindred relationship with someone who is making you grow, ask God to send you someone. Ask and He will provide. For He knows the importance of this word for you today and that my friend, is why He put this Power Word into your path today!
