HE'S BEEN FAITHFUL

2024 has been my first year to ever go on a 21 day fast. I have fasted many times before but never for 21 days. I thought to myself, “this is going to be such a great year, God is going to bless me so much in 2024.” I had felt impressed to fast, so that had to mean that by obeying God He would do something wonderful for me this year – right?

Well, God didn't exactly do things the way I thought He would. It's been a year of sickness, countless tests, doctors visits, emergency room visits, heartache, depression, fear, tears and sadness. But, through it all God has been faithful. The One who truly knows me never turned His back on me, never stopped loving me, He was FAITHFUL!

Pastor Katlyn Bryan spoke this morning on, He is Faithful. I couldn't help but think of how through everything that has happened to me God has been so faithful. He was right by my side through everything I faced. I realize that because of what I’ve gone through, I have grown more honest in my prayer life, it has drawn me closer to God rather than driven me from Him.

God's grace in my trials this year has been the constant prayers, and support of my friends and wonderful church family. From praying for us or bringing food, they were only a text or call away. Our church slogan is Loving People To Life and that is truly what they do. We are blessed!

Our walk with God takes us up to mountaintops and down into valleys - lots of valleys, but God is with us every step of the way! He shows us His faithfulness over and over and over again. He is with us through both the hardest times and the best times of our lives. There is no need to fear, because God is right there with us every moment of our lives. Because HE IS FAITHFUL!

He's Been Faithful
In my moments of fear
Through every pain and every tear
There's a God who's been faithful to me
And when my strength was all gone
When my heart had no song
Still enough, He's proved faithful to me
And every word He has promised is true
And what I thought was impossible, I've seen my God do
He's been faithful, faithful to me
Looking back, His love and mercy I see (oh, I can see)
Though in my heart, I have questioned, even failed to believe
But He's been faithful.
