FEAR WHAT?

Is it just me? Or have you noticed it too? What am I talking about? Preachers preaching fear upon the people! That's what! Have you noticed that every time something bad happens in the world, or at least wise, the threat of something bad, that a lot of preachers start panicking and making their people scared?

I mean, first it was Y2K. Preachers started preaching get ready, get ready, the end is upon us. Jesus is coming! But Y2K never happened just like we preached it wouldn't, and guess what? Jesus never came. Then 9-11 happened and the twin towers were destroyed. Once again a lot of preachers started preaching doom and gloom. This is it! The world is coming to and end! Jesus is coming! Well, once again, guess what? The world didn't come to an end and Jesus didn't come. Then, it was anthrax. Oh my goodness! We're all going to die! We're all going to be killed with anthrax! It's another sign of the end of the world! But, yep, you guessed it, the world didn't end and Jesus didn't come! Then came Iraq. Yep, you guessed it! Preachers started saying, this is it! This is the beginning of World War 3!! Get ready, America is going to be attacked! We are going to be destroyed with chemical warfare!!! FOR THE SAKE OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD PREACHERS!!! QUIT PREACHING FEAR!!!

God is in control. He always has been and He always will be. He is the King and we are the rulers of His kingdom! Listen to what the Word says and not man! "For His Kingdom shall be an everlasting Kingdom!" "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof!" Do you hear me fearmongers? Do you hear me doubt-peddlers? The earth is the Lords and the FULLNESS thereof! And what belongs to Daddy belongs to the children! So, the next time you hear fear being preached in the name of Jesus, maybe, just maybe you'll think again and consider just how big your God really is. Because I'll tell you this much – He's a lot bigger than the fear that is being forced upon us by man!
