ARE TONGUES GOOD OR BAD?

Tongues! When you hear the word tongues what do you immediately think of? Well, that depends. If you are a Pentecostal/Charismatic, you probably immediately think about the gift of the Holy Spirit that allows a believer to speak in a heavenly prayer language. But, that is not what I am talking about this time. Nope. I am talking about that member of your body that Jesus Himself said was the most unruly member. That member of your body that can give life to someone else, or destroy someone's life!

God will judge how we use our tongue in the future. For, the Bible declares to us that every word that is spoken will be held accountable before God and be judged. So then, why do so many people still allow this evil member to be used as a weapon against others for? Do we not believe that God is going to judge us? We had better believe it!! And, we had better be careful what we say, and how we say it! Lest we destroy the lives of others around us!

In the ministry it is more evident than at any other vocation or calling that the tongue can give life or bring death. It amazes me to watch how God brings life to people through the spoken Word, only to then turn around and watch the devil use the tongue to bring death to others by the very same member! When the enemy tries to destroy someone, what is the number one way he does it? Through people talking!

Let me give you the best piece of advice I can ever give you. Be careful, VERY careful, how you open your mouth and speak against someone else! Because there just may come a time when God decides that He has heard His children attacked long enough and go to defend them. And my friend, when God arises to defend His children, those who have spoken evil of them had better be ready for swift and terrible judgment and punishment!
