THE SPIRITUAL OUTLAW
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)
In the above verse we saw how satan is called a thief. And what does a thief do? Steal. And, what is stealing? It is taking something that doesn't belong to you! And is that legal? No!
So, if you do something that is illegal that means you you broke the law, doesn't it? And if you broke the law, guess what that makes you? An outlaw! And what happens to an outlaw? They are tracked down and punished for breaking the law. Why? Because once you break the law, you are no longer under the protection of the law!
Websters Dictionary defines an outlaw as, "A person excluded from the benefit of the law."
While Lucifer was in heaven, he was under the full benefit of God's law. But, once he broke that law, he became what I call "The Spiritual Outlaw." And ever since then he has been on a lawless rampage stealing everything he can get his hands on. Stealing our peace, our confidence, our strength, our promises, and on and on the list could go.
Yes, there are times that we, as believers, have to go through many testings and trials in this life. And, yes, there are times that it gets very old, really fast! Sometimes we think to ourselves, will it ever end? The answer to that is YES! Yes, it will end!
You see, satan's days are numbered! This is what Revelation 20:10 has to say about it: “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
Hang on child of God! Hang on to the promises of God's Word. Hang on to your faith in your God. Hang on to the fact that one day these troubles will be over. And hang on to the fact that satan's days are numbered!
Most outlaws are Wanted Dead or Alive. Satan's just wanted Dead!
