COVERING

Covering. What is covering? Well, covering is simply being under the covering (or protection) by either a higher being or a group of your peers so that your individuality would not be subject to what I call the "loose cannon" effect. Meaning that when you are not under the covering of others to make you accountable, there is a tendency to move under a spirit of rebellion making yourself accountable to no one.

This particular power word might not settle well with many that read it, but it is one that burns within my spirit even now as I type these words. Without covering, there is chaos. Without covering, there becomes an open gateway to the heart to allow rebellion to spring forth.

Now hang on to your seat because I am going to give to you a heavy heavy word. Our modern religious world is filled with "spiritual witches and warlocks!" Why would I say something like that? Because the Word of God states that "the spirit of rebellion is as the spirit of witchcraft!" And when you refuse to come under the covering of others to make yourself accountable, you are in rebellion.

Recently, this has come to my attention very strongly as the Spirit of the Lord has birthed within me some startling words concerning this very thing that I type to you today about. Words of warning are being given to each of you today as you read this, both minister and member alike! If you are a minister, hear me! When you come out from under the covering of others, you come out of the safe haven of protection. And if you leave that covering and further, refuse counsel from others who love and want to help you, woe be unto you! How sad of a day it will be for you when you wake up one morning and find that the anointing has departed! All because of coming out from under covering, you have now opened up your heart and your ministry to satanic attacks and demonic influence. Why? All because you choose to not be under the covering of safety any longer.

Oh please hear me my friends! A spirit of individualism is sweeping this nation with the humanistic thought of "I don't need anyone else. I can make it on my own. I don't need to be subject to anyone or anything." And my friends, this is the very heart of rebellion and spiritual witchcraft! The devil is a crafty adversary and he knows exactly what he is doing. His mission is clear - to destroy and to damn every breathing soul to an eternal lake of fire and brimstone along with him! And that is exactly why we need the covering of others. To provide a safe haven of not only safety, but also rest for the soul so that it may be strengthened for future times of battle.

Please understand the reasons for my writing this word. Please do not take my words wrong and misconstrue them. I am not speaking only of others, but I am also speaking of the seriousness of my own life and ministry to fall under the covering of not only God Almighty, but also under the covering of others so that both my ministry and myself might be held accountable. It is of the utmost importance that I along with every other minister of the Gospel do this. For without covering there is chaos and we will lead the sheep down wrong paths!
